Drones not allowed near Fourth of July parade in Huntington Beach

Share

Huntington Beach police are discouraging the use of drones on the Fourth of July.

City skies will be congested with flyovers by a police helicopter during and after the parade, and there will also be airplanes towing banners, according to a Facebook post from the Huntington Beach Police Department.

“Drones can be a safety hazard to other aircraft and people on the ground,” the department wrote. “Drones are not allowed near the parade. Any drone flights made within the city of Huntington Beach can only be done after receiving permission from any airport/heliport within five miles.”
