The Orioles’ Cinderella season ends with a 3-1 loss to the Yankees in a decisive game 5. In the top of the sixth, the O’s missed tying the game by inches when a towering Nate McLouth fly ball, in the umpires’ judgment, pulled just right of the right-field foul pole. At least one slow-motion replay seemed to show the ball pinging the pole and caroming slightly, but the call was upheld on video review.
