Rick Friedman Reader Comment of the Day: “I don’t agree with everything Magic is saying, but I agree 100% with what he says about Mike Brown. Brown showed all season long that he doesn’t have the coaching skills to maximize the Laker talents. It looked to me as if he would have been most comfortable playing 7 or 8 players; which not only wears out those players but makes it boring for the fans who want to watch most (if not all) of the players on the roster, even if it’s only for a few minutes/game.

“Playing 10 or 11 players a game takes ability from a coach to shuffle things in his mind, and I don’t think Brown has the breadth or dexterity to do it. Certainly the Lakers need to get a bit younger and more athletic, but with the roster the Lakers had they should have been the top seed, and would have won the championship with a better coach.” -- kingdomdriven
