Donated toys add holiday cheer for military families

Operation Homefront and Dollar Tree donated gifts last week from their ninth annual holiday toy drive for children of military personnel.

Operation Homefront, a nonprofit that provides financial, food, repair and other assistance to military families, collected toys between Nov. 1 and Dec. 3 and distributed some of them Dec. 9 at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, organizing the gifts by age and gender of potential recipients.
