In the world of the rich and famous, there is no such thing as a simple wedding -- the more glitz and glamour the better. And an exotic location for nuptials doesn’t hurt either. Here are a few destinations celebrities used as their wedding backdrops, according to Travel + Leisure.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: Bracciano, Italy

This Hollywood couple opted for the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Italy for their 2006 nuptials. They exchanged vows in a former stable on the property and then had a celeb-filled reception complete with on-site fireworks.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Florence, Italy

The reality star and rapper started their nuptials in Paris, where they hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Palace of Versailles before jetting off to Florence, where they said their vows at Forte di Belvedere.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: Puglia, Italy

Justin and Jessica chose Italy for their 2012 wedding. The couple hosted their wedding at the five-star Borgo Egnazia resort.

The actress exchanged vows with the singer in the town hall of the hilltop village of Mazan in the south of France, keeping with the French tradition. The couple responded in their native languages -- English and French respectively. They followed it up with a celebration at a nearby estate owned by the bride’s family.
