Sail China’s Yangtze River and save with 2-for-1 cruise deal

Share

New York-based Victoria Cruises is offering 2-for-1 prices on three- and four-night sailings on China’s Yangtze River. The cheapest trips cost as little as $285 per person in February.

The deal: If China is on your travel list this year, you may want to take advantage of the deal on the Three Gorges Highlights river tour. Regular prices start at $480 per person and apply to three-night (Chongqing to Yichang) and four-night (Yichang to Chongqing) cruises.

The deal requires travelers to buy a $90 excursion, also at 2-for-1 pricing. You may choose from a tour of the Three Gorges Dam, a sampan excursion on one of the river’s tributaries or a tour of landmarks such as the 100-foot-tall Jade Emperor statue or Shibaozhai’s famous red pagoda.

When: You must reserve by Feb. 28 to get 2-for-1 prices.

Details: Taking this trip in February doesn’t mean you’ll be freezing. Temperatures along the Yangtze River in southwestern China in winter are in the 40s and 50s, warmer than, say, Beijing, which is 900 miles away and typically is covered in snow at that time of year.
