ABOUT THE CORN ISLANDS

Great Corn Island offers more North American-style amenities than Little Corn, such as all-day electricity, roads and taxis. Optimum time to visit: December through April. Hotel reservations are necessary only during Christmas and Easter vacation times.

Paraiso Club Restaurant, southwestern side of Great Corn Island: Delightful patio dining, great seafood. Main dishes from $7.50 to $13.

Hotel Morgan, eastern side of Great Corn, Caribbean flair. Main courses from $6.50 to $14. Lobster’s the big deal on the island; never more than $16.

Habana Libre, on the main strip of Little Corn Island. Good seafood, with Cuban flavor. Lunch $6 to $10.
