Talk about life flashing before your eyes.

The Brinno TLC200 Time Lapse Camera can be set anywhere and programmed to automatically take photos at about 10 frames per second for up to 24 hours.

It’s a neat way to capture flowers opening throughout a day, animals roaming onto the scene or kids at play. To use it, just turn it on, set a time period, aim the camera and wait for the “video” to finish.

The camera shoots images at resolutions of up to 1280 x 720 and comes with a 2-gigabyte SD card that holds as many as 20,000 images. (The camera supports HD cards up to 32 gigabyte.)

It runs on four AA batteries (included). The lens can be extended or rotated for best aim. To view the video, pop the card into your computer or connect the TLC200 to the PC.

An optional external stop-action Shutter Line lets you shoot individual JPEG images. Other attachments are also available. The camera costs $195, and the Shutter Line is $19.99.
