Desiree Hartsock of “The Bachelorette” and her wannabe suitors will go dating in some of Germany’s most scenic places during the fifth episode of the reality TV show Monday night. It’s the first time she has ever been to Europe, on or off the show.

But first, an update: Hartsock, 27, started out with 25 bachelors but has winnowed the pack down to 11. Despite all the usual bachelor tension, she takes seven of her entourage up a gondola to the top of snowy Zugspitze, the highest peak in the country at almost 10,000 feet, according to the show’s website. While in the mountains, expect to see the gang learn how to yodel and then sled down the slope on a black-diamond course to a hand-carved igloo.

Other show highlights: Hartsock goes on a date with two of the bachelors, Michael and Ben, at the woodsy Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. But despite the beautiful setting, things apparently go badly when these two square off.

Then she goes out with Chris for some sightseeing in Munich’s old city, samples beer and sausages, and has a lovely time until ... well more bachelor drama erupts. During her search for the perfect match, Hartsock has been racking up the travel miles. Recent episodes have taken her to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa for a gourmet dinner and midnight dip in a hot tub, and the Revel casino in Atlantic City, N.J.

By the end of Episode 5, you can bet more bachelors will fall by the wayside. But don’t blame that on Germany.

Info: “The Bachelorette” airs 8 p.m. on ABC.
