Guns N’ Roses’ Slash tunes the asking price for his villa in Mulholland Estates

Share

Famed guitarist Slash has brought a taste of the rockstar lifestyle back to the Multiple Listing Service. The rocker of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver fame has put his flashy villa in gated Mulholland Estates back on the market at $10.495 million, down from $10.995 million earlier this year.

To put it mildly, the 10,971-square-foot estate is over-the-top-hat.

Exotic wallpaper of alligator print and other loud patterns adorn the walls; cheetah print rugs line the floors; and crystal chandeliers fashioned as pirate ships hang from the front entry. Artistic mirrors done in antique glass wrap the formal dining room.

A lower-level lounge — with black-hued carpeting and ceilings in walls — has a DJ booth, a screening room and wet bar. There’s even a steel pole for dancing.

But not every part of the home has an amped-up vibe. A chef’s kitchen offers a traditional look with white custom cabinetry and a pair of stone-topped islands, and an office features walls of built-in bookshelves. The master suite is toned down with soft lighting, muted hues and a tasteful stone fireplace, as are the other six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

A swimming pool and spa, an outdoor living room, a skate ramp and an organic vegetable garden fill the three-quarter-acre grounds. Views take in the surrounding canyon and valley.

Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Previews International is the listing agent.

Slash, 50, rose to fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses and later co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver. The Rock and Roll Hall of fame inductee recently reunited with original Guns N’ Roses bandmates Axl Rose and Duff McKagan after 23 years for a reunion tour.
