Television and radio host Larry King is among celebrity buyers at the Carlyle Residences, a newly built high-rise along the Wilshire corridor that will celebrate its opening Saturday.

The condominium that King purchased has three bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms in 3,535 square feet. The asking price of a comparable unit is $4.4 million. Other Hollywood luminaries to purchase at the Carlyle include actor Bruce Willis and Irv Weintraub, former chief operating officer of William Morris.

The 24-story crescent-shaped tower has 78 condos with 2,700 to 5,000 square feet of living space at prices ranging from $2.5 million to $14 million. All the units have their own private elevator entrances, 24-hour concierge service and amenities including a fitness center, a dining room and a club room.

King, 76, has hosted his CNN nightly interview show “Larry King Live” since 1985.

Sales for the Elad Properties development are being handled by Valerie Fitzgerald of Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills.
