For just a twitter of a moment, it appeared that actor Ashton Kutcher was selling his Beverly Hills residence after a very public Internet tirade earlier this month over the construction going on next door. Nuh-uh. The house he is selling, which is, in fact, now in escrow, is where Kutcher used to live before he married actress Demi Moore in 2005. It is also in Beverly Hills, which added to the confusion. Listing price: $3.7 million.

FOR THE RECORD:
Real estate agent: In the Feb. 28 Home section, Hot Property’s reference to Fleur de Lys, the most expensive property in Los Angeles in the Multiple Listing Service, omitted Robert Kass as the co-lister of the property with Joyce Rey. Kass is with Hilton & Hyland, and Rey with Coldwell Banker, both of Beverly Hills.

Update: Ashton Kutcher sold his pre-Demi Moore bachelor pad for $3,670,000. The deal on the Beverly Hills-area house closed this week. It had been listed for $3.7 million.

Zach Goldsmith and Rita Goldsmith, both of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, represented the buyer, who is not a celebrity. Bill Parks of Prudential California Realty had the listing. —

Kutcher engaged in a rather heated, if brief, rant on the social network Twitter, claiming he had been awakened by his neighbors’ construction crew at 7 a.m. That seems to have blown over, and nobody believes Kutcher and Moore will be moving any time soon.

The home has six bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in 4,860 square feet. The property has a tennis court and was renovated in 2008. It features a two-story foyer and a fireplace in the living room. The gourmet kitchen has Thermador appliances, a center island and a banquette. The home has a full bar and wine storage. The master bedroom comes with double limestone baths, double closets, a vaulted ceiling and a fireplace. There is a pool, a spa, a putting green and a three-car garage.

When he isn’t busy venting on Twitter, Kutcher, 31, has an active acting career. He played Michael Kelso in 183 episodes of “That ‘70s Show” and was the voice of Elliot in the animated movie “Open Season” in 2006. He appeared in “What Happens in Vegas” in 2008. He also was executive producer on 68 episodes of “Punk’d” from 2003 to 2007 and 47 episodes of “Beauty and the Geek” from 2005 to 2008.

Moore, 46, played Madison Lee in the movie “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” in 2003. She also starred in “The Juror” in 1996, “A Few Good Men” in 1992 and “Ghost” in 1990.

Bill Parks of Prudential California Realty, Beverly Hills, has the listing, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

‘Queens’ writer leaving a burrow

What was it that made America fall in love with a package delivery guy and his wife, crazy father-in-law and dopey friends? Perhaps it was David Litt, from whose mind and typewriter came the sitcom “The King of Queens.”

Litt has listed his Hollywood Hills house for $2,025,000.

He took the 1963 home down to the studs, and the architectural results are pretty smashing. Los Angeles-based architect Robert Kerr created a home of wood, stone and glass. There is a formal courtyard with a fountain that leads to the house. A two-story wall of glass looks out on a forest and stream. The three-bedroom, 3 1/2 -bathroom house has 2,440 square feet.

Litt was the co-creator of “The King of Queens” and wrote 86 episodes of the comedy that aired from 1998 to 2007. He also wrote for “The Big Bang Theory” in 2007 and “Out of Practice” in 2005-06.

Michael Cohen of Pinnacle Estate Properties in Encino is the listing agent.

With amenities to rival the Ritz

Hey, brother, can you spare $85 million? Mohamed Hadid, known for developing Ritz-Carlton hotels and building high-end homes with an old-world flair, has listed his own such residence in Bel-Air for sale at that dizzying price. It is not the most expensive listing in Los Angeles on the market right now, but its “wow factor” certainly runs high.

To start, the home has 10 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in 48,000 square feet, all sitting on 2.2 prime Bel-Air acres. The home has an all-steel construction with an imported Jerusalem stone exterior wall. The main level includes a reception hall, formal living and dining rooms, an informal dining room, a family room with a bar lounge, a music room, a library, the main kitchen, a butler’s pantry and a staff bedroom and office.

The lower level is where the larger parties take place. There’s a 5,000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, a grand ballroom that seats up to 250, a commercial kitchen, a screening room, a gym, a Moroccan room, a Turkish hammam and a game room.

The master bedroom suite is on the upper level, which includes a sitting room, a powder room, his-and-her bathrooms and dressing rooms, three family bedroom suites plus a second master suite with its own lanai and a small gym.

There are staff quarters over the garage and an open motor court for 20 vehicles, plus garage facilities to accommodate two limousine-length vehicles.

The park-like grounds include a swan pond, fountains, rose gardens, a 70-foot infinity pool, a 12-person spa, an alfresco dining area, an outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, fireplaces and courtyard dining for 100 guests. There are 19 fireplaces in all, an elevator and commercial-grade utility and entertainment systems throughout the house.

Hadid designed, built and decorated the main residence himself. He developed Ritz-Carlton hotels in New York, Houston, Washington, D.C., and Aspen, Colo., and has built commercial and residential developments and high-end custom homes in Beverly Hills, Aspen and Mexico throughout his 30-year career.

Joyce Rey and Stacy Gottula, Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills, share the listing. Rey is also the listing agent on Fleur de Lys, the 5-acre Bel-Air estate that is Los Angeles’ highest-priced listing at $125 million.

Drummer hopes to snare a buyer

Matt Sorum has joined the drumbeat of hopeful home sellers. The hard-rock percussionist and former drummer for Guns N’ Roses has listed his Hollywood Hills West-area home at $2,975,000.

Sorum, now drumstick-wielding for Velvet Revolver, hopes to sell his recently remodeled four-bedroom, three-bathroom home of 2,450 square feet. It has maple hardwood floors, three fireplaces, a gym and a customized kitchen with granite countertops and professional-grade stainless-steel appliances. There are cathedral ceilings throughout, French doors and a pool and spa.

Sorum, 48, played for Guns N’ Roses from 1990 to 1997. He left after a falling out with band frontman and co-founder Axl Rose in a dispute that reportedly lasted almost a decade. Sorum joined the Cult and formed Velvet Revolver in 2002.

The listing agent is Jon Hamner of Keller Williams Realty, Beverly Hills, according to the MLS.

Catch the ocean views in Malibu

Ex-major league baseball player Brady Anderson hopes to score with the sale of a Malibu property he redesigned and put on the market at $8,999,000.

Anderson, who was an outfielder with the Boston Red Sox, spent most of his professional ball career with the Baltimore Orioles and ended with the Cleveland Indians. He is selling a contemporary two-story estate.

The 3,500-square-foot home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and ocean views. There are vaulted ceilings, glass sliding doors in the living room, a gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and a terrace off the kitchen. There is an outdoor dining area with a fire pit and a spa observation deck.

The former ballplayer, now 45, spent 15 seasons playing in the majors, starting in 1988.

The listing agents are Linda and Kim Kanner of PreVue Properties, El Segundo, according to the MLS.
