Jude Law, father of four, is going to be Jude Law, father of five.

The actor who’s been playing Dr. Watson to Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes in recent years is expecting a child in the spring with Catherine Harding, People reported Thursday.

“Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child,” Law’s rep told the mag.

That would suggest that the 41-year-old actor had previously been in a relationship with 23-year-old Catherine Harding, a.k.a. Cat Cavelli, an aspiring singer-songwriter who according to OK! appeared years ago on the British version “The X Factor.”

The native of Ireland now lives near Law in the Hampstead area of London, OK! said Friday.

Law’s rep said no further details about this “private matter” would be shared. So, beyond that vague due date, there’s no dish about how the couple found themselves in a position to procreate.

The “Gattaca” actor is nothing if not good at making babies: He has two sons and a daughter — Rafferty, 18, Iris, 14, and Rudy, 12 — with ex-wife Sadie Frost, an actress, and a 5-year-old daughter, Sophia, with model Samantha Burke. Law and Burke’s relationship, like his with Harding, was over before their child was born.

Happily, in addition to spending time with his kids, the two-time Oscar nominee has been living up to his financial obligations as a dad. According to court documents detailing his agreement with Burke, his child-support nut has hit up to a quarter-mil a year, TMZ reported in March.

Incidentally — and we mention this only because it’s like father, like son in the handsomeness department, Rafferty Law made his runway-modeling debut in June. He turned 18 on Oct. 6.
