Fans of Michael Clarke Duncan will be able to pay their respects to the late actor Sunday, when a public viewing of his closed casket will be held at a Los Angeles cemetery.

The memorial will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, where stars from Bette Davis to Brittany Murphy are buried. A private invitation-only service will be held for Duncan the following day, according to his publicist Joy Fehily.

The actor died at age 54 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. on Monday of natural causes. He had suffered a heart attack in July and never recovered.

Duncan was best known for his Academy Award-nominated turn in 1999’s “The Green Mile,” in which he played a death row inmate. Before getting his Hollywood break, the 6-foot-5, 300-plus-pound Duncan worked as a bodyguard for the likes of Martin Lawrence and Notorious B.I.G.

By Wednesday, fans had begun to leave a variety of flowers, cards and candles outside of the actor’s Woodland Hills home as a tribute to the star.

Duncan’s fiancée, “The Apprentice” star Omarosa Manigault, was bombarded by paparazzi when she arrived at LAX Monday evening. The reality television fixture, who was openly distraught at the airport, had been in a relationship with the actor since 2010.
