Pop & Hiss premiere: Stefano Langone’s ‘Fill My Cup’

Stefano Langone could have gotten lost in the “American Idol” machine.

The season 10 finalist – Jennifer Lopez selected him as her wild card –finished in seventh place and landed a record deal with Hollywood Records as well as management from “Idol’s” 19 Entertainment and Red Light Management.

A handful of singles were issued, including 2012’s dance-pop confection “I’m on a Roll” and slow burner “Yes to Love.” Both singles generated some buzz, but weren’t radio hits. And like numerous “Idol” alum, Langone’s post-show deals were short-lived and he exited before issuing a debut.

But Langone refused to become another entry in “Idol’s” storied spin cycle. He took the reins of his career, launching his L.A.-based SpeakerMind Production company in October and restarted work on his long-gestating debut. Pop & Hiss has the premiere of the project's latest single, “Fill My Cup.”

Produced by Dave'Ron "DMadd" Madden, who is also featured on the track and co-founded the production company alongside Langone, the sexy jam dials up the slinky R&B-pop that his earlier major label offerings watered down (we can't post the dirtier version of the single).
