Brad Blumenthal -- sometimes-home developer, sometimes-actor (you may recall him portraying Jerry Lewis in "Pulp Fiction") --wanted a cutting-edge house in the Hollywood Hills that fully embraced its skyline views and used them as a design element. He turned to David Thompson, principal of the Los Angeles architecture firm <a href="http://www.assembledge.com">Assembledge</a>, who with partner Kevin Southerland came up with an ambitious plan for the kind of modern home Blumenthal wanted.
