Brad Blumenthal -- sometimes-home developer, sometimes-actor (you may recall him portraying Jerry Lewis in "Pulp Fiction") --wanted a cutting-edge house in the Hollywood Hills that fully embraced its skyline views and used them as a design element. He turned to David Thompson, principal of the Los Angeles architecture firm Assembledge, who with partner Kevin Southerland came up with an ambitious plan for the kind of modern home Blumenthal wanted.
