Ex-TV anchor Bree Walker, arrested on DUI, refused Breathalyzer

Anaheim police said they arrested former Los Angeles news anchor Bree Walker on Wednesday night after she appeared drunk and refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

Walker, 61, was stopped at 12:35 a.m. near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ball Road, said Anaheim Lt. Tim Schmidt.

She was booked and released.

Walker was a respected fixture on L.A. television and worked at KCBS-TV Channel 2 in the 1980s and '90s.

Anaheim police told the Orange County Register that Walker could not produce a driver's license and looked "disheveled." There was a pitbull in her car, and the dog was handed over to animal control officers, officals added.

She was once married to co-anchor Jim Lampley.

Walker had disabled hands and became a high-profile advocate for her condition, known as ectrodactyly.
