Lady Gaga buys $23-million Malibu estate with stables, bowling alley

Lady Gaga has shelled out $23 million to bowl in Malibu.

Set on an ocean-view six acres, the gated Mediterranean-style villa she hooked was built in 2005 and features open-concept living and dining rooms, high ceilings with exposed beams, numerous chandeliers and, yes, a two-lane Brunswick bowling alley.

Above the main floor is a master suite with a terrace, dual closets and bathrooms and a safe room. The lower level has two bowling lanes, a home theater, a game room and an 800-bottle wine cellar. There are five bedrooms and 12 bathrooms in 10,270 square feet of living space.

A saltwater swimming pool with a spa and a boccie ball court sit on the ocean-view side of the property. An eight-stall stable, a dressage ring and a guest cottage complete the grounds.

The singer-songwriter-actress, 28, got off to an explosive start with her 2008 Grammy-winning album “Fame” and its hit songs “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” which won for best dance recording. She also has won Grammys for best performance and music video (“Bad Romance”) and best pop vocal album (“Fame Monster”).

Lady Gaga, whose ever-changing appearance and sense of style are often notable, has performed for world leaders including Queen Elizabeth and President Obama.

The seller was Dan Romanelli, founder of Warner Bros.’ consumer products division. He bought the property in 2000 for $2 million.

About a house in Hollywood Hills

Minnie Driver, who stars in the sitcom “About a Boy,” has put her Hollywood Hills home up for sale at $1.495 million.

Sheltered by mature landscaping, the Spanish-style house features a central courtyard and original 1926 details. The colorful garden courtyard has a fireplace and vintage Mexican tile.

The 3,055 square feet of living space includes formal living and dining rooms, a sun room/office, a wine cellar, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. A breakfast area opens to a dining terrace with canyon views.

Among other features are custom woodwork, custom tile and a fireplace in the wood-beamed living room.

Driver, 44, was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting role in “Good Will Hunting” (1997). This year she stars in several films, including “Return to Zero,” “Stage Fright” and the upcoming “Beyond the Lights.”

Also a singer-songwriter, Driver just released her third album, “Ask Me to Dance.”

The property previously changed hands in 1998 for $775,000, public records show.

$14,000 a month nabs star landlord

Vince Vaughn, who will be on the series “True Detective” next year, has been buying homes in the Los Angeles area for a year and half. He’s leasing out at least one of them in his role as landlord.

Just on the rental market is the place Vaughn bought this summer in Hollywood Hills West from Kate Bosworth for $2.375 million.

Set behind gates on half an acre, the updated 1955 contemporary is available for $14,000 a month. The lap pool has been refinished and the listing describes the 2,890-square-foot home as “great for entertaining,” with a kitchen outfitted with professional appliances and two farmhouse sinks.

Other living spaces in the open-plan house include living and dining rooms with wood-beam ceilings, three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. There are canyon and greenbelt views.

Vaughn, 44, has starred in such films as “Delivery Man” (2013), “Wedding Crashers” (2005) and “Old School” (2003). He is working on several movies for next year including the crime drama “Term Life.”

He also owns homes in La Canada Flintridge and Manhattan Beach.

‘Dark Knight’ exec exits Calabasas castle

Thomas Tull, chairman and chief executive of Legendary Entertainment, has sold his castle-like estate in Calabasas for $9.5 million.

Features of the French country-style mansion include a two-story library, a screening room/theater, a children’s theater, two kitchens, two offices, a game room, a music room, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a gym and a sauna. There are five bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and three powder rooms.

Set at the end of a cul-de-sac in a gated community, the nearly one-acre property contains a 14,218-square-foot main house, a self-contained one-bedroom guesthouse, a swimming pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen and expansive lawns. There’s a four-car garage and a circular driveway.

Tull’s producer and executive producer credits include this year’s “Godzilla,” “Man of Steel” (2013), the “Dark Knight” movies, the “Hangover” movies and “Inception” (2010). He is part owner of the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers.

The film executive had the house built in 2006 after buying the site the year before for $2.27 million, public records show.

Where bassist plays host

“Boom!” Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, the Grammy-winning metal band with a penchant for one-word song titles with exclamation marks, has listed his Woodland Hills home at $1.1 million.

Designed for entertaining and family living, the Traditional-style house was built in 1964 and has hillside and mountain views. The 3,424 square feet of living space includes a living room with a fireplace, a family room with a wet bar, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and two fireplaces.

A swimming pool with a spa, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit and decks complete the quarter of an acre of grounds. There’s a three-car garage.

Odadjian, 40, recently started hosting his own radio show, iHeartsHaVo, on iHeartRadio.

The accomplished bassist and songwriter also directs and film edits music videos. DJ DecompozeR, as he is also known, has worked with Achozen and George Clinton of P-Funk.

He bought the house in 2002 for $690,000, public records show.
