Spike in marriage licenses statewide
Licenses issued by counties the first week of legal same-sex marriage--compared to average rates. Statewide, more than 8,500 marriage licenses were issued, more than two and a half times an average June week. Below, see data gathered by UCLA researchers on marriage rates over this summer compared to 2007.
