Anniversary-decorated bus means a free ride
Riding aboard the Orange County Transportation Authority’s birthday bus will be free of charge along Beach Boulevard this weekend.
The specially decorated bus, an addition to regular service, will pick up passengers from 4:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday along Route 29 between Brea and Huntington Beach. The route runs through La Habra, Buena Park, Anaheim, Stanton, Garden Grove and Westminster.
The special bus is part of the OCTA’s monthlong observance of its 35th anniversary.
Next week it will run on Route 1 along Pacific Coast Highway from Long Beach to San Clemente; the week after it will run along Route 70 from Huntington Beach to Dana Point.
