Guatemala man dies in arrow attack
Police say a Guatemala City man died after assailants waiting outside his home fired an arrow into his heart Wednesday.
Luis Luna, a national police officer, said 29-year-old layout designer Abel Giron was attacked as he left for his job at El Periodico newspaper. The killers fled.
Luna said Giron’s family members pulled the arrow out of his chest. He died at a hospital.
Giron’s colleagues said the arrow was made of metal and was possibly fired from a competition bow or crossbow.
Police did not give a motive for the attack. Giron was married to a photographer who also works at the daily newspaper.
