The 2015-16 legislative session has come to a close and Gov. Jerry Brown has signed hundreds of bills into law — and vetoed many as well. Of the 1,059 bills sent to him this year, Brown vetoed 159, or 15%.

Among the pieces of legislation signed this year were high-profile efforts to toughen gun control and laws against rape in the state, and to battle the effects of climate change in California.
