Reporting from New York — Zack Greinke was officially placed on the paternity list Friday, as he was in Los Angeles for the birth of his first child.
Greinke was replaced on the active roster by right-hander Josh Ravin, who was recalled from triple-A Oklahoma City.
Greinke, who has a 43 2/3 innings scoreless streak, was scheduled to start Friday. Left-hander Ian Thomas will start instead.
Greinke can remain on the paternity list for three days. He could theoretically start Saturday or Sunday.
The Dodgers haven’t named a starting pitcher for Saturday.
Brett Anderson could start Sunday if his body responds well to his bullpen session Friday.
