Update: The Timberwolves have an enviable nucleus of center Karl Anthony-Towns, the top overall pick in this year’s draft, and guard-forward Andrew Wiggins, the first overall pick in 2014. The Lakers’ 22-game winning streak against Minnesota ended two seasons ago, and the teams are 4-4 against each other since then. The Timberwolves (16-66) were the only team below the Lakers (21-61) in the Western Conference last season.
