On Monday, the Lakers announced their 2014-15 preseason schedule.

The team will play eight games starting Oct. 6 at Valley View Casino Center, San Diego, against the Denver Nuggets.

Kobe Bryant should long be ready to play by October after missing most of the 2013-14 season with a knee injury -- although it’s unclear who he’ll be playing for and with, as far as head coach and teammates.

Mike D’Antoni recently resigned and the Lakers have only Steve Nash, Robert Sacre and Bryant under fully guaranteed contracts.

The Lakers will travel to the Honda Center on Oct. 16 to host the Utah Jazz, who will visit Staples Center on Oct. 19.

On Oct. 21, the Lakers will return to the Honda Center to play the Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers will also play the following night against the Portland Trail Blazers, for their second preseason visit to Ontario.

Finally, the Lakers and Sacramento Kings will both travel to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for a final exhibition game before the regular season.
