USC football: Marqise Lee says players to meet without coaches
In the aftermath of their 10-7 loss to Washington State, USC players were scheduled to meet without coaches Sunday, receiver Marqise Lee said.
“We’re not supposed to come in [Sunday] but we’ll come in and talk about it as a team and go over the things we can improve on as a team without the coaches there,” Lee said.
Lee, who caught 118 passes last season, caught seven passes for only 27 yards against the Cougars.
“They played good defense,” Lee said. “They stayed back, stayed disciplined.”
Washington State also swarmed whenever Lee got his hands on the ball.
“I know it’s going to be like that this season,” he said. “Everybody is going to be be on me, that’s how the game is this year.
“I just have to continue to work at it. I’m not going to be able to get frustrated.”
