Disney's California Adventure Park will close Tower of Terror on Jan. 2

Goodbye, creepy Hollywood Tower Hotel elevator. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a scary, free-fall haunt that opened at Disney’s California Adventure Park in 2004, will close permanently Jan. 2.

But not without one last Halloween trick (or is it a treat?). 

Starting Sept. 9, the Tower takes a dark turn with what’s called the Late Check-Out.

WWII Museum tour to mark 75th anniversary of attack on Pearl Harbor

The National WWII Museum in New Orleans is hosting a tour this year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Hawaii’s Pearl Harbor. More than 2,000 Americans died in the attack by Japanese bombers that led to the U.S. entering the war.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas to add 21 (that lucky number) tower penthouse suites

Can the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas get any cooler? Apparently so. The hotel-casino plans to add 21 penthouses to its Boulevard Tower that promise big skyline views, big spaces to stay (2,000 to 5,000 square feet) and a gaming space exclusively for penthouse guests.

The interior designer for these luxury suites? There are three, according to a hotel news release.
