Excavating Rome's Aqueduct Park

A well-preserved head from a sculpture is among the treasures unearthed at the Villa delle Vignacce complex in Aqueduct Park, on the southeastern side of Rome. Break ground anywhere, and you’ll likely find remnants of the city’s glorious past. But now, although digs still go on, preservation and public presentation are favored over excavation.
