5:38 p.m.: Pete Docter, after winning the animation award -- the only win less surprising than the Mo’Nique victory -- gives a fairly innocuous backstage talk. (Sample bit: Asked about a theme park ride at Disneyland, he offers, ‘It’s one of the reasons I got into this, is my love of Disneyland. I hope one day there is one.’) It’s that kind of interview. As he talks, though, another TV moment on stage, but this one’s poignant, as ‘Dexter’s’ Michael C. Hall, who recently disclosed he has Hodgkin’s disease, comes to the stage. Not primarily a film actor, but we always thought he had the chops to be. He’ll be backstage shortly so we’ll have more from him then.
