Spring trends: Not so mellow, yellow

Last Sunday’s Image section shed some light on spring’s yellow fashion trend: what shades are in, how to match them to your own coloring and what accessories will brighten up your seasonal staples, (hint: the primary color’s often paired with nautical stripes).
But yellow isn’t just popping up in what we wear. David A. Keeps points out in The Times’ Home and Garden section that ‘happy-face yellow-- not midcentury mustard or the soft shade of an Easter chick -- is the color of choice for home furnishings this spring.’ The recent Easter and other spring time festivities keep things sunny side up in the Food section. Not to mention that April is Grilled Cheese Month.
