Street Culture: 2009 Sunset Junction

Last weekend, locals of Silver Lake, Echo Park and environs spilled out of the hills and onto a blocked-off stretch of Sunset Boulevard for the two-day Sunset Junction Street Festival. Most came to watch rock shows and witness a parade of their mostly Eastside-ish, under-40 peers not usually seen in the relatively pedestrian-free city.

Josh Mayer, left, of the band Glitch Mob, which didn’t play, and Dugan O’ Neal liven up the road on Saturday. Here’s a look at who else walked the asphalt runway.
