The color keeps coming on the red carpet.
Justin Timberlake is rocking a charcoal gray Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo with a pleated storm blue shirt and a black bow tie. It’s unexpected, and it looks great. Best dressed male so far for sure.
Lea Michele (‘Glee’) chose a ruffled emerald green dress by Malandrino, which is a cut above the staid black Oscar de la Renta she wore at the Globes, but still safe. Diane Kruger (‘Inglourious Basterds’) is in a one-shouldered Jason Wu gown in a daring hue: mustard yellow. One of Michelle Obama’s designers, one of Michelle Obama’s colors.
Sandra Bullock (‘The Blind Side’) is wearing the tamest-looking Alexander McQueen gown I’ve ever seen -- black, short sleeves, with a keyhole opening and blue beading at the neckline.
Still haven’t seen anyone who has knocked my socks off. On second glance, Vera Farmiga’s (‘Up in the Air’) cloud-like J. Mendel gown washes her out.
Slightly more interesting are Marion Cotillard in an Elie Saab beaded white gown with one structured shoulder and Kate Hudson in a white long-sleeved gown.
Is Sophia Loren wearing Penelope Cruz’s black Giorgio Armani gown from the Globes?
