Everything designer Karl Lagerfeld does is studied fervently by the fashion industry. Which was undoubtedly the thinking at Chanel‘s sister brand, Eres.

The French lingerie-and-swimsuit label tapped the ponytailed prince of fashion to shoot a series of photographs portraying its spring-summer 2010 collection in a fresh, cheeky light.

The resulting ‘fashion tale’ -- which was conceived, staged and photographed by Lagerfeld -- features a comic strip-style series of photos showing a model looking like a modern pin-up rummaging through her closet for a few articles of Chanel prêt-à-porter. Ultimately, she reemerges dressed in Eres swimsuit and lingerie ensembles.

The photo series will be featured on the Eres website starting in May.
