Beauty junkies rejoice: Nordstrom’s Beauty Exclusives event starts this month

Nothing picks me up like a shiny black Chanel eye shadow quad or a grouping of Bobbi Brown’s shadows and lip glosses (well, nothing but a bag of chocolate peanut butter cups and a ‘Top Chef’ marathon)

But for anyone who loves makeup and limited-edition makeup, Nordstrom has a bunch of little gems that will make nice additions to a makeup bag -- or collect dust on the vanity because, really, doing a smoky eye on yourself is not easy no matter how many how-to videos you watch on YouTube.

The Beauty Exclusives event at Nordstrom kicks off July 16 and will offer shoppers limited-edition items from the department store’s biggest beauty names. You’ll mostly find ‘best of’ palettes and makeup sets, larger bottle sizes and little extra gifts with purchases at slightly discounted prices. For instance, Bobbi Brown’s Must-Haves collection, which comes with an eye-shadow palette, a dual-ended brush, full-size lipstick, lip gloss, Everything Mascara, caviar ink gel liner and a liner brush is valued at $150 but selling for $75 during the event, which runs from July 16 to Aug. 1.
