The city of Beverly Hills now has its own beauty brand.
Beverly Hills Beauty, a high-tech skin care line, is a partnership between L.A.’s Iconic Labs and the city that helped make Botox and brow lifts famous the world over.
The product line is the first ever to be granted permission to use the famous Beverly Hills emblem — and was scrutinized for over a year by city officials and ‘local beauty industry insiders’ before permission was granted (again, for the first time ever) to use the city’s name as the brand’s sole moniker.
So far, the line only has two products (priced at $59.95 each), a daytime moisturizer and an anti-aging night cream. But they’re both chock-full of active ingredients.
Daily Age Revolution, the lightweight daytime moisturizer, features an SPF of 15 (a little too lightweight for California rays, I’d say) and an anti-aging growth factor peptide. The night cream, Advanced Youth Recovery, contains synthetic temple viper venom, a topical alternative to medical injectables that allegedly helps relax facial muscles (a suspect claim, considering that creams sit on top of the skin, nowhere near facial muscles).
The creams will be available online only starting Oct. 15, but you can order product samples for the cost of shipping right now on the company’s website.
