The first photo of the Superman costume from the upcoming franchise reboot ‘Man of Steel’ was recently revealed, as our fellow blog Hero Complex posted bright and early this morning.

Of the suit that Henry Cavill sports as the newly minted (or would that be smelted?) Man of Steel, our compatriot Noelene Clark has this to say: ‘... the suit looks like it has an armor-like sheen instead of a flat Spandex quality, but Cavill still has the boots, cape and trademark ‘S’ on his chest.’

I wouldn’t usually spend much time contemplating the clothes of the caped crowd, but after my research (for last weekend’s story about the male makeover at the movies) noted that the milquetoast-to-muscle-man transformation in such movies is as much a makeover as Cinderella’s, I’ve looked at such things with a slightly different eye.

At any rate, feel free to weigh in on Supe’s new suit -- do you think it’s super or not-so-much?
