‘Mad Men’ had the chance to make Golden Globes history Sunday if only it had won for TV drama series. It would’ve become the one program to win more awards as top series, drama or comedy, than any other. But, alas, its loss to ‘Boardwalk Empire’ means ... somewhat ... disappointing news.

For now, ‘Mad Men’ still must share the most-wins distinction with ‘The X-Files.’ Both shows have won a series prize three times, and now ‘Mad Men’ will have to wait till the next Globes contest to get a new chance to win a fourth time and reign solo.
