Comedian Lewis Black, on a USO tour of overseas military bases, has his own analysis of the mess that Washington has made of the U.S. economy.

‘I guarantee: If they keep it up, the entire country is going to be in the Army,’ Lewis says -- a line that brings howls from the troops.

At a gathering of 1,000-plus service personnel at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan, Lewis admitted to being a bit woozy after an eight-hour flight.

‘I couldn’t be happier to be here,’ he said, ‘wherever the [bleep] we are.’

He added, ‘You are the only people I would perform for at 9 o’clock in the morning.’

The F-word plays a big part in Black’s act and he doesn’t hold back. He does, however, avoid criticizing the commander in chief, the current one or the newly elected one, he told Newsweek.

Democrats and Republicans otherwise are fair game.
