Menu changes: Chef Michel Richard of Citrus at Social Hollywood has made mild changes to the restaurant’s menu. The lobster burgers and the famous mosaic made with thinly sliced raw beef, yellowtail, salmon, scallops and vegetables are still on the menu, but there’s also more ‘bistro fare’: fried chicken nuggets, thyme-glazed baby back ribs and cremini mushroom cigars. Also, the onion tart now comes with bacon. Meanwhile, Marc Boussarie, recently appointed executive chef of West Restaurant & Lounge at the Hotel Angeleno, a Brentwood boutique hotel, revealed his new menu. It’s heavy on Italian dishes (truffle lasagna, house-made herb gnocchi in a short rib ragout) alongside international comfort food (potato latkes, blue cheese fritters) and thoroughly American steaks. Then there’s the ‘herbed bone marrow.’ It costs $11, maybe for a bowl of it, unless diners get to suck it out of the bones. Breadbar’s melting pot: Las Vegas chef Adam Sobel will step behind the stoves Dec. 15 to 19 at Breadbar to present a special five-course prix fixe menu that highlights his interpretation of ‘refined global street food.’ That means Korean-style short ribs with carrot ginger sauce; lamb tagine with falafel and harissa-scented yogurt; and a ‘liquid center’ potato gnocchi with fontina cheese, chanterelle mushrooms, toasted potato consommé and Valderrama olive oil. 8718 W. Stuck with Puck: If you want an event catered anywhere in L.A. Live, you’ve got one and only one choice. Wolfgang Puck Catering is the exclusive caterer for the entire L.A. Live Sports & Entertainment District. Is that a good or a bad thing? You decide.
