Cheered when he appeared on the field for batting practice and booed when he stepped into the on-deck circle in the first inning, Manny Ramirez received a mixed reaction from the crowd at Fenway Park when he was introduced for his first at-bat of the game Friday in the second inning.

About half of the fans stood and cheered. About half of them booed.

Ramirez flew out to center on the first pitch thrown to him by Red Sox starter Felix Doubront.

The Dodgers trailed, 3-0, at this point, as Carlos Monasterios served up first-inning home runs to David Ortiz and J.D. Drew.
