‘Where the Wild Things Are’ trailer hits a nerve

It was one of the earliest books many of us can remember reading, sacred among childhood literature, and the first thing I think of when the name ‘Max’ is called: ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’

One of the first full trailers for the adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s wonderful book of imagination and adventure is circulating on the Internet. Seemingly the first to get it is Trailer Addict:


It’s a pretty engrossing tease, with music from Arcade Fire, and a dark, fun and semi-foreboding tone. Young Max Records as Max looks great in the suit, and the monsters -- as silly and H.R. Pufnstuf-like as they may have looked -- also are pretty cool. Tell us what you think below.
