Early images from one highly anticipated film (‘Tron Legacy’), and one somewhat anticipated film (‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’) were introduced today, and both look eye-poppingly interesting.

Light cycles! Nice. There are more images from ‘Tron’ and ‘Sorcerer’s’ after the jump.

The posters for ‘Tron’ are nostalgic and, though they don’t give away much, make us want to see more. The movie seemed ahead of its time even back in 1982 when Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner and crew brought it to the screen. So much so that next year’s version may have a lot to live up to in this high-tech age. The intrigue was more for the trailer of scruffy-haired sorcerer Nic Cage and his protegé (Jay Baruchel) in ‘Apprentice’ than the images presented. Sadly, no images of Monica Bellucci, and it seems as if Cage will get to do lots of pointing and posturing, but it looks really fun (notice I didn’t say good, yet).

No real commentary to be made on these yet, but early indications are that both seem like great visual feats for Disney. It’s a start.
