RIP, chaise lounge

No doubt many of you know the ‘aren’t-you-proud-of-me-Mom?’ grin on this guy’s face all too well. It’s rather the same look that my childhood pet, Crackers the cat, wore when he deposited a giant and very dead pheasant on the doorstep, causing years of lasting trauma (to me, not Crackers, who for his part did not seem traumatized at all).

R.I.P. pheasant -- and R.I.P. chaise lounge.
