A few good (but wandering) coyotes trapped on Marine base

Among the critters who make their home at the sprawling Marine base at Twentynine Palms are a population of coyotes. At night their voices travel for miles in the thin desert air.

That’s good. What’s not good is that some coyotes have been foraging near family housing.

So the environmental unit on base is trapping coyotes that wander near homes, like the one above trapped near the Ocotillo Heights housing area, and relocating them to safer spots on base. Safer for the coyotes, the Marines and their families.
