Folks, meet Sanford (ID# A0989895), a 2-year-old male German Shepherd-Mastiff mix residing at the East Valley animal shelter.

Sanford arrived at the shelter as a stray in October and had to be treated for kennel cough, but he’s now recovered and ready for a new home.

Valerie Markloff, the shelter’s New Hope program coordinator, says that Sanford loves affection and ‘can’t wait for you to scratch his head!’ (For our part, we love his giant ears.)
