Weren’t we just saying that Neil Patrick Harris could replace Simon Cowell next year on ‘American Idol’? Well, it turns out another TV competition has gotten to stylish NPH already: He’ll be shooting a CBS pilot soon for ‘Minute to Win It,’ the U.S. version of the British show ‘The Cube.’

The show, which puts contestants into a big ol’ box with tasks to perform and nine lives to lose, sounds pretty intense.

Phillip Schofield hosts the British incarnation of the deceptively simple show -- which has the Ministry totally stressed after watching the video clip embedded below. Harris had those gigs hosting the Emmys and the Tonys; Schofield hosted the 2007 Royal Variety Performance for the queen.
