Actress Lindsay Lohan has finally been made to pay the piper after a jaunt to the Cannes Film Festival: This morning at the Beverly Hills Courthouse, the young star was ordered to submit to random drug testing, according to our sister blog, LA Now.
Lohan, with lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, wore a casual black suit with a white collared shirt and sunglasses to the 8:30 a.m. hearing, wherein she was told that random drug tests will be administered on a weekly basis in L.A. -- jeopardizing her participation in the upcoming film ‘Inferno’ in Texas.
‘She is going to have to delay that for now,’ said Judge Marsha N. Revel. ‘The drug testing is going to be here.’
In addition to the drug screening, Lohan agreed to abstain from drinking alcohol, wear an alcohol-detection device (we can’t wait to see how it’s accessorized) and attend alcohol classes once a week.
The judge, who took time from her personal vacation to speak with Lohan, reminded the actress that a ‘missed test is a dirty test.’
Lohan made her highly anticipated cameo in court after missing a scheduled hearing last week. She blamed the absence on a stolen passport, subsequently trapping her in the South of France during Cannes.
‘Inferno’ would see Lohan portraying ‘70s pornography icon Linda Lovelace, alongside rumored cast like Bill Pullman as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
