While Courteney Cox works away on ‘Cougar Town,’ her estranged husband David Arquette is carrying on with projects and quality time with family.
Over the weekend, Arquette hosted a soft-open of ‘Beacher’s Madhouse,’ the alternative variety act he’s hosting for creator Jeff Beacher at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
In a private venue below the hotel lobby, which will play home to the ‘Madhouse’ when it opens to the public in February, ‘90210’ stars Shenae Grimes and Jessica Stroup celebrated their mutual birthdays with Arquette acting as emcee in a red pinstripe dinner jacket.
Arquette got some family support from sister and transsexual star Alexis Arquette, singing happy birthday to the stars and presenting them with gifts including a giant cake and Samsung Galaxy S phones. Paris and Nicky Hilton, actress Brittany Snow and ‘90210’ costar AnnaLynne McCord attended as well.
After a long Saturday evening, Arquette took his and Cox’s daughter Coco for some pre-Halloween parental bonding. The pair went to West Hollywood’s celeb-infested pumpkin patch Mr. Bones, where they mulled over carve-worthy goods and indulged in face painting. ‘David and Coco had a great time together at the pumpkin patch. Coco had her face painted like a cat and she looked adorable,’ an onlooker told People.
‘She also seemed happy about spending time with her dad. David looked great and was in a wonderful mood as well.’
