Amanda Seyfried
and Ryan Phillippe have permanently switched their relationship to ‘off,’ according to a new report.

The actors have been hot and cold for seven months but finally called it quits. ‘It was mutual,’ a source tells Us magazine. ‘They were never fully committed.’

Romance rumors surrounded the pair since the beginning of their courtship in October 2010, on the heels of Seyfried’s tumultuous split from actor Dominic Cooper. In January of this year, pictures of the two hugging on the set of the action thriller ‘Now’ (since renamed ‘In Time’) provided visual confirmation of their mutual affection.

It was never the smoothest road for Seyfried and Phillippe. In March, she waxed on how easy it was to take romance off-screen with the right costar.

It is ‘one of the easiest things in the world. You’re both open. You’re put in a situation where you have to make out with each other. It’s easy for things to get carried away,’ she told Elle magazine.

On the heels of this confession, news broke that Phillippe was allegedly the father of actress Alexis Knapp‘s child. Phillippe requested a paternity test but indicated he’d support Knapp and the child if he indeed was the dad.

Seyfried, according to Us, stood by Phillippe but -- alas -- they’re dunzo.

‘There’s no bad blood. They’re cool,’ the magazine’s source adds.
