In the aftermath of his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries can count at least one ally: the Chippendales dancers.

The bow-tied, shirtless revue has offered knockout Humphries a starring role in its Las Vegas show in hopes of calming the rough seas of his heart with body-rolling and booty-shaking (and perhaps earning a little free publicity along the way?).

‘We figured since he was unemployed and, the soon-to-be ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, a gig at Chippendales might be the perfect job to help restore his faith in women,’ a rep for the show told TMZ.

We wouldn’t be too quick to giggle, if we were Kris: Going the ‘Magic Mike’ route isn’t necessarily hurting anybody.

Then again, Humphries might not be in the mood to strip down, or hit the pole. He has plenty of free time thanks to the NBA lockout, but apparently isn’t in the mood to make public appearances: He canceled a scheduled gig to host an evening at Vegas’ Chateau nightclub on Saturday.

Cancel a paid appearance due to personal turmoil? How un-Kardashian of him. We’re starting to buy those irreconcilable differences.
